PS - they need to be picked just before eating as they wilt quickly (as I just found out).

ReplyDeleteI remember eating Dandelion salads when I used to go to tipee camps. They do taste great but if eaten in the evening, it is likely one will need the toilet sometime during the night. Part of the cleansing no doubt. :-) Best picked during spring if I remember right as they are then less bitter.
Yum! I love adding dandelion greens to a salad. Just remember that the younger you get them, the more you can put on your salad. While the mature (flowered) greens aren't particularly bad for you, they do get much more bitter.
